Motivational Story

Friday, July 17th, 2009

A training program for top management.

A well-known motivational speaker gathering the entire crowd’s attention, said,
“The best years of my life were spent in the arms of a woman who wasn’t my wife !”

The crowd was shocked!

He followed up by saying, “That woman was my mother!”

The crowd burst into laughter and he gave his speech, which was well received.

..

About a week later, one of the top managers who had the training decided to use that joke at his house. He
tried to rehearse the joke in his head. It was a bit foggy to him.

He said loudly, “The greatest years of my life were spent in the arms of a woman who was not my wife!”

Naturally, his wife was shell shocked, murmuring.

After standing there for almost 10 seconds trying to recall the second half of the joke, the manager
finally blurted out “… and I can’t remember who she was !”

As expected, he got thrashing of his life time….

Love and Ego

Love & Ego

Once upon a time, there was an island, where all the feelings lived
together. Love, Joy, Peace, Wonder, Amazement, Awe, even hatred & envy and
all those you can think of…
One day there was a storm in the sea and the island was about to get
drowned. Every feeling was scared but Love made a boat to escape. Every
feeling boarded the boat. One feeling was left behind. Love got down to see
who it was…

It was EGO.

Love tried and tried but ego wasn’t moving meanwhile the water was rising
by the minute. Every one asked love to leave him and come on the boat, but
love was made to love, he could not leave Ego alone to die. At last all the
feelings escaped and Love died with ego on the island.

Love dies because of EGO.

A Friendship Story

Friday, June 26th, 2009

A story is told about a soldier who was finally coming home after having fought in Vietnam. He called his parents from San Francisco.

“Mom and Dad, I’m coming home, but I’ve a favor to ask. I have a friend I’d like to bring home with me.

“Sure,” they replied, “we’d love to meet him.”

“There’s something you should know,” the son continued, “he was hurt pretty badly in the fighting. He stepped on a land mind and lost an arm and a leg. He has nowhere else to go, and I want him to come live with us.”

“I’m sorry to hear that, son. Maybe we can help him find somewhere to live.”

“No, Mom and Dad, I want him to live with us.”

“Son,” said the father, “you don’t know what you’re asking. Someone with such a handicap would be a terrible burden on us. We have our own lives to live, and we can’t let something like this interfere with our lives. I think you should just come home and forget about this guy. He’ll find a way to live on his own.”

At that point, the son hung up the phone. The parents heard nothing more from him. A few days later, however, they received a call from the San Francisco police. Their son had died after falling from a building, they were told. The police believed it was suicide.

The grief-stricken parents flew to San Francisco and were taken to the city morgue to identify the body of their son. They recognized him, but to their horror they also discovered something they didn’t know, their son had only one arm and one leg.

The parents in this story are like many of us. We find it easy to love those who are good-looking or fun to have around, but we don’t like people who inconvenience us or make us feel uncomfortable. We would rather stay away from people who aren’t as healthy, beautiful, or smart as we are.

Thankfully, there’s someone who won’t treat us that way. Someone who loves us with an unconditional love that welcomes us into the forever family, regardless of how messed up we are.

Tonight, before you tuck yourself in for the night, say a little prayer that God will give you the strength you need to accept people as they are, and to help us all be more understanding of those who are different from us!!! There’s a miracle called Friendship That dwells in the heart You don’t know how it happens Or when it gets started But you know the special lift it always brings. And you realize that Friendship Is God’s most precious gift!

Friends are a very rare jewel, indeed. They make you smile and encourage you to succeed. They lend an ear, they share a word of praise, and they always want to open their hearts to us. Show your friends how much you care.

*Better to be a Lion in India than a Monkey elsewhere!!!!!*

Thursday, June 25th, 2009

In a poor zoo of India, a lion was frustrated as he was offered not more than 1 kg meat a day.

The lion thought its prayers were answered when one US Zoo Manager visited the zoo and requested the zoo management to shift the lion to the US Zoo.

The lion was so happy and started thinking of a central A/c environment,a goat or two every day and a US Green Card also.

On its first day after arrival, the lion was offered a big bag, sealed very nicely for breakfast.

The lion opened it quickly but was shocked to see that it contained few bananas.

Then the lion thought that may be they cared too much for him as they were worried about his stomach as he had recently shifted from India.

The next day the same thing happened. On the third day again the same food bag of bananas was delivered.

The lion was so furious, it stopped the delivery boy and blasted at him,
‘Don’t you know I am the lion…king of the Jungle…, what’s wrong with your management? What nonsense is this? Why are you delivering bananas
to me?’

The delivery boy politely said, ‘Sir, I know you are the king of the jungle but … did you know that you have been brought here on a monkey’s visa!!!

A Cute Love Story : On a Rainy Morning

Tuesday, June 2nd, 2009

When the sun was hiding
I was out in the open
Drenched from top to bottom

My love had asked me to meet
Our usual place in the field
Behind the wind mill
Under the cedar tree

It was a lovely place
Near the quiet lake
Where the lovebirds met
When the sun is about to set

But nobody was there today
Just the rain and me
Been waiting the whole day
but she had never been late

Then She came running
i reached out and pulled her to me
She was breathing heavily
Her eyes were watery

She then moved away
And opened her wet hands
She gave me the chain
I gave her on our first date

I looked in her eyes
And she looked in mine
I understood what she didn’t say
She realised, turned, ran away

I stood there for hours
Holding my hart in my hand
I didn’t know how to cry
For with her I always smiled

I thank god it rained, Oh I just love the rain for it hide my tears, It hide my pain
That day that rain those tears and that pain The rain stopped then but in my eyes it still rains.
